Jones Petrie Rafinski (JPR) is currently working with IQI Balanced Intelligence, an umbrella for a portfolio of technology, communication, and collaboration companies, to develop the adaptive re-use design and master plan of the former Studebaker automobile manufacturing campus and Union Station which encompass approximately 1.2 million square feet just south of the central business district. The project highlights include re-purposing the historical former Studebaker assembly plant campus into a mixed-use development containing office and retail space, manufacturing, educational facilities and residential units. The renovation will also serve as an expansion to the existing Union Station Technology Center’s data center. The project also reaches out to include the master planning of the surrounding area to help bring a cohesive, pedestrian friendly environment and identity to the downtown South Bend area.
