JPR was commissioned by the City of Mishawaka to assist in the development of a public parking lot that would serve the new Jesus Bar and Grill and a law office within the Downtown Mishawaka Redevelopment Zone. The new restaurant concept was an adaptive reuse of a historic Carnegie Library building.
Detailed coordination efforts with the City and restaurant ownership team were required to ensure the maximum number of parking spaces were provided. The integration of pedestrian access was carefully planned to approach the building’s unique entrance and outdoor seating, as well as to provide ADA access to the second-floor convention hall.
JPR facilitated meetings with the City and business owners, provided site design and engineering services, prepared the necessary construction document for public bidding, and conducted construction inspection services.
