Graduate Engineer – Water Resources Division

  JPR is looking to add a Graduate Engineer to our WaterResources Division located in our office in Fort Wayne, IN.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required.

Ability to obtain licensure as a professional engineer (PE) 

0 to 5 years of experience

BasicSkills include:

• Ability to work in team environment while actively promoting collaborative and innovative culture.
• Knowledge and interest in working drinking water/wastewater engineering projects
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Support all phases of water/wastewater projects including planning, engineering, and construction.
• Develop projects from inception to completion under the guidance of a senior staff engineer
• Perform engineering, construction, and design assignments, requiring a solid grasp of at least one engineering discipline and the exercise of professional judgment.
• Typically given projects of minor complexity; may have leadership responsibility for less experienced staff
• Perform work under close supervision and provide support to more experienced personnel.
• Provide clear and concise documentation of design calculations.
• Perform analyses and design required for minor structures, systems and equipment items.
• Prepare sketches and diagrams for use by technicians.
• Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and studies aimed at evaluating alternative systems, equipment, materials or engineering methods.
• Assist in the preparation of contract /proposals specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Review Contractor's shop drawing submittal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
