Water/Wastewater Process Engineer

Jones Petrie Rafinski is a growing well-established, employee owned, civil engineering firm (30 years) providing consulting services throughout Northern Indiana and lower Southwest Michigan. Some of our services include civil, environmental, land-surveying, land planning, landscape architecture, geographic information systems and architecture.

Jones Petrie Rafinski has an opening for a motivated and driven Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join the JPR team. The qualified candidate will work on a wide range of water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, sanitary sewer collection, and industrial wastewater treatment projects. This position will support all phases of (engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction) of Water/Wastewater projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of wastewater experience, though all candidates will be considered.

Basic Qualifications:

▪ Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering is required

▪ Professional Licensure (or ability to procure Indiana P.E.)

▪ Process and environmental engineering skills in the Water/Wastewater practice area

▪ Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills

▪ Technical writing ability

▪ Self-motivated, team-oriented, organized, and possess the ability to successfully

  multi-task

▪ Functional experience with Microsoft Office Applications

▪ Ability to mentor others

▪ Communication and management skills to provide technical knowledge to other

  members of our full-service team

Preferred Skills:

▪ Autodesk Civil 3D

▪ ARC GIS

▪ WaterCAD

▪ HydroCAD

The qualified candidate will be able to manage the execution of projects with other engineering disciplines and office personnel; develop projects from inception to completion; prepare construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, permitting and construction of water/wastewater system for clients.
