Lacasa Arbor Court Apartments

JPR was hired by Lacasa to transform a former daycare center into a seven-unit apartment building, including six standard units and one fully ADA-compliant unit. The project involved both interior and exterior renovations, with updates such as new windows, doors, and individual exterior entrances to each apartment. In addition to modernizing the building, these improvements were essential in repurposing the space for residential use while enhancing its curb appeal and functionality.

One of the major challenges was fitting seven apartment units into a relatively small existing footprint while meeting all code requirements for square footage, natural light, and ADA accessibility. JPR provided creative, efficient design solutions to make the most of the available space, ensuring each unit was functional, comfortable, and compliant.

The team’s expertise in layout optimization and ADA clearances played a key role in turning a compact, single-use structure into quality low-income housing. The result is a thoughtfully redesigned building that offers safe, attractive, and affordable living options for the community.
