This project entailed a significant overhaul of the municipal drinking water distribution system. The Town of Monroeville experienced a surge in water main breaks and pressure issues across its primary water network. Following the completion of a water model and field hydrant testing, it was determined that over 50% of the existing water mains needed replacement due to age or required upsizing to address low pressure concerns.
Moreover, JPR’s Resident Project Representative (RPR) played a pivotal role in project oversight, which included inspecting the project and executing tasks such as verifying pay item quantities. They served as a liaison between homeowners/owners and the engineer/contractor, and remained onsite throughout all construction-related activities for the duration of the project. JPR also meticulously maintained detailed and organized field as-built documentation, which was subsequently compiled into comprehensive record drawings and reviewed with the owner for future reference.
Given the project’s location along a state route and near a busy supply rail, extensive communication with INDOT and Norfolk Southern was imperative to ensure smooth execution.
