The City of Goshen hired JPR to complete the design of this important traffic link. The firm’s assignment included a very compressed timeline, as the project needed to start construction and be completed in the 2009 construction season. The design was complete within 45 days, allowing the City to take advantage of a very attractive bidding market. Bids came in substantially below the engineer’s estimate and the project was completed on time and within the contract budget.

This phase included unique and challenging design components such as a railroad overpass, sustainable storm water and wetlands systems, LED lighting, and a multi-use pedestrian facility. Wightman Petrie continued on this project with the design of Phase II. This phase, funded as an LPA project, includes a very detailed traffic study, survey, design, environmental services, and right-of-way engineering.
