Syracuse Youth Athletic Complex

      LOCATION: Syracuse, Indiana
      BUDGET: $800,000
      CLIENT: Town of Syracuse
      PROJECT MANAGER: Chris Chockley

The Town of Syracuse needed to update their existing baseball and softball facility in order to better accommodate the youth baseball and football leagues. Syracuse hired JPR to develop a conceptual master plan with corresponding cost estimates. The design solution successfully allows multiple users and activities to exist and function within a relatively small site.

The design incorporated:

  • Multi-use playing fields
  • A central concession facility
  • Fitness zones
  • Walking paths
  • Low maintenance landscape features

The Town of Syracuse utilized the master plan and cost estimates to raise the funds necessary to build the athletic complex. The Syracuse Youth Athletic Complex is projected to be a vital asset to the community as the population grows.

The Town of Syracuse has successfully raised approximately $400,000 to construct Phase 1. This phase consists of the four ballfields, maintenance/storage building, restroom facility, and walking paths. Phase 2 will complete the project with the installation of field lights, dugouts and the development of the football field.
