Jones Petrie Rafinski (JPR) is currently aiding Renaissance Center, LLC. in collaboration with the City of South Bend in the adaptive re-use design and planning of a large area of downtown. The project highlights include re-purposing 1-million square feet of the historical former Studebaker assembly plant campus into a mixed-use development containing office and retail space, manufacturing, educational facilities and residential units. The renovation will also serve as an expansion to the existing re-purposed Union Station Technology Center’s data center. The project also reaches out to include the master planning of the surrounding area to help bring a cohesive, pedestrian friendly environment and identity to the central business district of South Bend.
