ELKHART COUNCIL FUNDS PHASE TWO OF RIVER DISTRICT PROJECT
LOCATION: Elkhart, Indiana

JPR continues to provide design and planning support for this exciting project in the core of our hometown. This appropriation completes the funding for $30 million in public improvements planned for this transformative redevelopment. So far the signature street is underway, utilities are being buried, all available land has been acquired and an RFP for the Zone One opportunity area is being prepared. We are advancing designs for amenities that include more riverwalk improvements, the Lundquist Park redevelopment and restoration of the Elkhart River. Along with the streetscape (under construction), recently bid projects include the streetscape plantings and lighting, and the next phase of the riverwalk extension.

JPR professionals are also assisting private development projects that include the $65 million Aquatic Center, the $32 million Flaherty And Collins Apartment project and the $27 million Great Lakes Capital Re-development of the shopping center at the east end of the corridor.
