      AWARD: 2016 Best Ballpark Renovation
      (Over $10 Million)

JPR worked with the City of Lansing and the Lansing Lugnuts organization on the possibility of completely re-imagining the ballpark experience at Cooley Law School Stadium. The stadium was originally opened in downtown Lansing in 1996 and had undergone a minor renovation in 2005. JPR was tasked to think entirely out of the box.

What developed was entirely new group areas with tiered seating to allow for the best group experience. The field itself is now completely encircled with a 360-degree concourse engineered to also serve duty as a fire truck access lane.

Setting off the stadium is a four story structure that extends from left field to right field and sits just 20’ away from the top of the outfield wall. The first story of this structure is a public bar and catering space accessible from both inside and outside of the stadium. In addition, the new 600 seat group picnic area fills out the floor. Floors two through four are residential apartments with views and balconies overlooking the field offering residents a truly unique living experience.

Major renovations to the existing areas of the stadium and infrastructure also include, locker room and suite renovations, new stadium seating and concession improvements.
